Coruzzi to appear in BBC’s “Show Me the Monet”
London-based artist Fabio Coruzzi is appearing in the final episode of the BBC series “Show Me the Monet” on 20 May.
The 10-part series, which was first broadcast on BBC2, on 9 May, sees artists from across the UK battle it out to win a place in a major exhibition at the Royal College of Art.
Around 150 artists were invited to apply to take part in the competition by submitting an original piece of work in any art discipline – whether it be painting, mixed media or sculpture.
Professional and self-taught artists who feature in the series have had their work scrutinised by a Hanging Committee of three experts: Charlotte Mullins, art writer and broadcaster; David Lee, art critic and editor of ‘The Jackdaw’, and art historian and dealer Roy Bolton.
To make it through selection, each artist must have their work approved by at least two of the committee members. Only 35 artists will be shortlisted in the final show.
Will the panel select Coruzzi? To find out, watch episode 10 of “Show Me the Monet”, at 5.15pm, on BBC2. Viewers can also see the show online via bbc iplayer.
